I can get the ESP32 to work on my Ubuntu system, with the drivers that come pre installed with Ubuntu. Reinstalling drivers, rebooting, trying different USB HUBS and cables, trying the windows 7/8 drivers, nothing works. I keep getting The device cannot start (Code 10). What tells you for sure this is the USB controller driver? Is it included in your motherboard drivers? Update your BIOS, chipset and all other drivers.
